RECENT EVENTS

Dec. 21, 2019

“Night of Protest: Help Bring our Country to the Light” featured 15 musicians and poets in a standing-room-only, three-hour program at Aqus Café in Petaluma, Calif. Chris performed three songs, including his newly-written “Darkest Night of the Soul.”

 

Nov. 5, 2018

The six-member Sonoma Songwriters Group held its first meeting. The goal was for each person to write a new song each month. As of 2021, we are continuing to meet monthly (although we have been meeting via Zoom since the pandemic started.)  Other members of the group are Michael Capella, John Croizat, Al Haas, Emily Hamilton and Mike Radtke.

May 4-10, 2015

Chris was one of eight singer-songwriters to participate in a songwriting retreat hosted by Nancy Cassidy in Stanley, Idaho. He wrote three new songs and participated in a community concert with the other songwriters at the end of the week.

Sept. 6, 2014

Chris opened for Maury Manseau & Cheri Buonaguidi in a concert at the Clear Heart Gallery in Petaluma, Calif. We were accompanied by Colin Campbell, harmonica, and Steve Harr, guitar.

Chris was joined by Larry Potts, Scott O'Brien and Steve Della Maggiora on the outdoor stage at Hopmonk Tavern in Novato, Calif.

April 26, 2014

Larry Potts, Scott O'Brien and Steve Della Maggiora shared the stage with Chris at Ruth McGowan's Brewpub in Cloverdale, Calif.

May 4, 2012

Chris was one of several Sonoma County musicians who performed at a Bob Dylan Tribute Night at the Sebastopol Community Center in Sebastopol, Calif. Chris sang "One More Cup of Coffee" and was accompanied by some fabulous musicians, including Allegra Broughton (vocals), Sam Page (bass), Frank Hayhurst (lead guitar) and Rick Cutler (drums).

Chris contributed some songs to host Thom Butler’s “Local Arts and Music Roundup” Christmas Week program on KPCA-FM, including two songs from his first CD and a “kitchen table” recording of Steve Earle’s “Christmas in Washington.” Listen here.

Thom Butler featured two of Chris’ songs on the “Local Arts and Music Roundup” program on KPCA-FM, “Snakes and Dust” from his first CD and “Darkest Night of the Soul” from his new CD, as well as “Las Perlitas” by Los Gu’achis, a band that plays music of Mexico, the Southwest and Early California of which Chris is a member.
